Gordie Zimmermann established IceMann Development, LLC in 2022 as a certified Florida state builder with a focus on developing and consulting in sports and entertainment projects as well as real estate development, including single-family residential, multi-family, and commercial projects. The mission of IceMann Development is to build impactful community projects that enhance quality of life and drive economic growth.
Currently, IceMann Development is working on the Trinity Development Initiative (TDI), a large-scale project encompassing sports, education, medical, hospitality, retail, residential, and more. TDI is progressing through the design and MPUD stages, with initial projects entering permitting and full commencement planned for 2025.
Gordie is a minority co-owner of Z Mitch, LLC, which developed the AdventHealth Center Ice, a 150,000-square-foot ice and multi-sport facility in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Ranked #1 indoor ice rink by USA Today and Yelp, AHCI is a premier multi-million-dollar facility in the country. Previously, Gordie designed and managed the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon, Florida, now known as TGH Iceplex and the home practice facility of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
From 1994 to 2001, Gordie worked with James R. Bradley AIA and Bradley and Bradley Development Inc., overseeing $40 million in residential and commercial construction. From 2001 to 2015, he owned ZBI, constructing custom and spec homes. His extensive hockey and skating industry background spans Canada, the USA, and beyond, including coaching, developing high school hockey programs, and partnering with NHL alumni and executives.
Gordie has also contributed significantly to events like the NHL Rookie Showcase, USA Olympic Women’s Team training, and international youth hockey tournaments. His vision has earned multiple awards, including Pasco County Resolution for Economic Impact (2022), Attraction of the Year (2020), and North Tampa Bay Chamber’s Chairman Award (2022).
Gordie’s efforts have fueled regional tourism and economic growth, aligning with the Florida Sports Coast branding. His ongoing projects aim to further enhance the community’s development and prosperity.
