Luke was born in Tampa, Florida in 1998 and played youth travel hockey from U8 to U16 AA/AAA. He won Florida State Championships with his U14 and U16 AA Travel Sahof teams, and his U16AA team made an appearance at the USA Hockey Nationals in Dallas, TX. He played 4 seasons in the Lightning High School Hockey League and appeared in 3 LHSHL All-Star games. He played Junior A for the Woodstock Slammers in the CJHL and played NCAA D3 hockey at Anna Maria College in Massachusetts. Currently, Luke is a level 4 USA hockey certified coach, head coach of the Tampa Bay Crunch, and specializes in private/group training for skill and hockey IQ development.
